- Else Schulze finished her PhD in Chemistry at UC in 1926 under Harry Shipley Fry. She took at job at Procter and Gamble and at that time was the only female chemist. She spent 39 years at P&G where she gradually assumed control of the library and technical information services for P&G. By the time of her retirement in 1966 she was in charge of three separate libraries and a staff of 37.
