Whether you need a quiet corner to focus, a space to brainstorm with friends, or a classroom for a meeting or workshop, we’ve got options for everyone. Some rooms can be reserved ahead of time, while others are open for drop-in use. Scroll below to learn how to book a study room or classroom and find the best spot for your next session.

Room 400B is located on the library’s second level. It contains a table with four chairs and one armchair. There is also a shelf of study and focus tools that can be used while in the study room.

400B will be available for reservations starting on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Room 320 is located on the library’s main level, level 3 of the in the Teachers-Dyer Complex. The classroom is open during regular library hours. It contains six monitors (HDMI cords available at the Info Desk), one instructor workstation, twenty laptops, one SMART Board, and a rear-facing projector. Capacity for this room is 36.
Scheduling this room prior to 3pm during is ad hoc and first- come, first- served for single use and for recurring events scheduled after 3pm. All recurring events scheduled before 3pm will be reviewed and approved, as available. Please be aware that library-sponsored instruction and events are given precedence in scheduling prior to 3pm.
Reservable by: UC faculty & staff, student groups
The CECH Library MakerLab is located on the library’s main level in room 325, level 3 of the Teachers-Dyer Complex, and can be used by members of the UC community to create instructional materials or reserved for instructional or other UC-affiliated purposes. The MakerLab is open during regular library hours and contains four tables and a projector.
Scheduling for this room is ad hoc and first come, first served. Please be aware that this room is always open to the public and some equipment may be in use during your reservation period.

3rd & 4th Floors
CECH Library 4th floor
The 3rd floor is an ideal space for group work. In addition to the huddle rooms, the MakerLab and other areas of the A variety of open spaces, in addition to the MakerLab and Huddle Rooms, third floor feature large tables and portable whiteboards for easy collaboration.
The library’s 4th floor is a semi-quiet area, ideal for individual study. This floor features long tables with convenient electric access, study carrels, soft seating, and plenty of natural light.
MakerLab (325)
CECH Library MakerLab
The MakerLab located in room 325 can be used by members of the UC community to study or create instructional materials. The MakerLab is located across from the Info Desk and is available to all members of the University of Cincinnati community. While the MakerLab and its self-service tools are open during regular library hours, training and support for advanced equipment is only available during MakerLab assistance hours or by appointment. This space can be reserved for instructional or UC-affiliated purposes but is available as an open study when there is no reservation or class.
Classroom (320)

The CECH Library classroom, located in room 320, has large tables and portable whiteboards. Each table has an independent monitor (checkout HDMI cables at the Info Desk). This space can be reserved for instructional or UC-affiliated purposes but is available as an open study when there is no reservation or class.
Info Commons
CECH Library Info Commons
The Info Commons is located near the CECH Library entrance. This space has Windows and Mac desktop computers, a flatbed scanner, WEPA printing, and a videophone. You can learn more about the technology and software in this space on our Info Commons webpage.
Huddle Rooms
CECH Library Huddle rooms
Two huddle-style rooms are located near the entrance of the CECH Library. Each room contains a high-top table, four chairs, and a large screen. White boards on wheels are also available for use in these spaces. HDMI cables and dry erase markers are available for checkout at the information desk.
The huddle rooms are available first-come, first-served. They may not be reserved.
