How the ZTC Grant Program Works

Recipients of ZTC Grants determine how awarded funds will be used to replace conventional textbooks.

Requirements

All participants in the Adoption and Adaptation tracts are expected to:

  1. Attend one OER informational session
  2. Claim either an “OER” or “No Course Materials” designation on the course adoption form for their course
  3. Follow course accessibility guidelines to provide an access point to all ZTC materials in Canvas and/or the course syllabus
  4. Post a link to the student ZTC survey in Canvas
  5. Complete the instructor feedback form
  6. Submit any final files for adapted materials to UC Libraries for archiving

Only requirements 2 and 3 are expected for Maintenance grants.

Timing

Successful applicants will be notified on May 15, 2026, and will be expected to implement the ZTC model in the 2027 calander year.
