| At the start of classes each year, the University of Cincinnati holds Welcome Week to introduce new students to the University-its programs, colleges, and departments. University Libraries participated in the week's festivities by holding an ice cream social and two drawings for a $50 gift certificate to the University Bookstore. Students were encouraged to visit any library and sign up to receive e-mail notification of library notices. They could then enter their name in the drawings for a gift certificate.
