| As reported in previous issues of Source, library staff have worked over the past year to create a Strategic Plan for University Libraries for 2003-05. The plan was completed and launched in February. In crafting the Strategic Plan, library staff developed mission, vision, and shared values statements to chart the next three years of work in University Libraries. In March, five task forces were organized to address issues of Quality Service, Staff Development, Library Instruction, Organizational Effectiveness, and Digital Initiatives. Their recommendations were presented to the dean on May 30 and then to all staff in June for consideration, input, and possible implementation. A second group of task forces will begin work on additional Strategic Plan priorities in the fall.
