Adopt-a-Book |
|
The Adopt-a-Book program seeks individual donations
to restore rare books and other materials in the University Libraries
collections. A book plate is placed in the restored book to commemorate
each donor's gift. Donations have honored retiring faculty, important
events in the life of family members, and the simple love of valuable
research The Friends of University Libraries proudly sponsor this successful program and invite you to participate. Some projects require extensive binding work and are delicate additions to the rare book collection. Some volumes are institutional treasures, such as the Robert Clarke collection, which formed the foundation for the University's library in 1895. For a list of current titles on the Adopt-a-Book list, or to contribute to the conservation of a waiting volume, please contact, Melissa Cox Norris at (513)556-1558 or e-mail her at melissa.norris@uc.edu. |
