The Well at the World’s End by William Morris and The History of Godefrey of Boloyne and of the Conquest of Iherusalem by Gulielmus, Archbishop of Tyre.
These two beautiful examples of the book arts from the seminal Kelmscott Press add to the University Libraries’ strong holdings on William Morris and the Arts & Crafts Movement. Representing some of the finest examples of 19th-century printing, the books are bound in morocco with custom boxes, and are printed in Troy and Chaucer types. They are indicative of the influence Morris’ work had on 20th- and 21st-century design and typography, and both are important association copies of individuals close to Morris.
