A Note from the Dean

The features in this issue of Source focus on both past and future events and projects in University Libraries. In keeping with this theme we have decided to incorporate our “Annual Report” in this end-of-the-academic-year issue rather than print it as a separate publication. This is also the time of year during which we proudly proclaim our University Libraries Honor Roll of Donors. These generous people greatly increase our capacity to provide the library collections and services our students and faculty need to accomplish their work.

In looking to the future – Winter Quarter 2008 – we eagerly await the opening of “UCit@Langsam,” a 24/7 computer and study facility that is a joint venture with our partner, University of Cincinnati Information Technology (UCit). This exciting project has
tremendous support from our students, faculty, and administration because it will be a significant addition to the 21st-century learning environments we are striving to create for our students at the University of Cincinnati.
