This Winter Quarter, University Libraries completed and launched our Strategic Plan, 2007-2009. Along with articulating the
mission, vision, and values of the organization, the plan outlines the strategic directions that will guide the work and efforts of the Libraries over the next few years. The plan is aligned with the goals of UC|21, the academic plan for the university, and focuses on the libraries’ mission “to provide excellent research collections, quality service, engaging learning environments, and innovative instruction in support of the University of Cincinnati’s comprehensive mission of teaching, research, and community service.”
Work is already underway on several of the strategic directions listed under the categories of Academic and Research Excellence, Place Students at the Center, Library as Place, and Organizational
Effectiveness. Look for updates on the Strategic Plan to appear in future issues of Source. In the meantime, the plan is available
