A Note from the Dean

Dear Readers:

The front page of our newsletter has a new look, which we hope you will like. We are rolling out several other “new looks” with the start of the Fall Quarter: the redesign of our online catalog, improvements in our Web site, new carpeting for the CAS Library, and all new windows and window coverings for Blegen Library.

Source’s new look allows us to feature a striking photo from the upcoming “Changing the Face of Medicine” exhibit. This is an outstanding traveling exhibit that will be presented in
libraries across the country, including in Cincinnati. We believe Cincinnati’s presentation of it will be top-tier, both because the exhibit will be on display in a prime location – downtown Cincinnati on the first floor of the Main Library – and because the exhibit is the outcome of wonderful collaboration among UC’s Academic Health Center’s Libraries, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, and our own University Libraries. Please be sure to note the opening date of January 5, 2007, on your calendars so that you will be able to experience the stories of many pioneering women physicians throughout the country, including several from our region.
