Initiated in 2005 through a gift from Priscilla Neill, former Associate Dean for Human Resources, the Celebrating Excellence award acknowledges and rewards exceptional leadership that advances the mission of University Libraries.
The honorees for 2007 were:
- Olga Hart, Instruction Librarian: The Outstanding Leadership Award in recognition of her demonstrated leadership on three UCLID Task Forces and the Web Team thereby promoting continuous quality improvement of the Library Catalog and University Libraries Web site.
- Barb Macke, Instruction Librarian: The Outstanding Leadership Award in recognition of her demonstrated leadership in providing responsive instruction, creative and innovative learning environments, and consistent quality service.
- Tom White, Head of Monographs: The Most Outstanding Leadership Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership in organizational effectiveness initiatives in Acquisitions, Conservation & Binding, and Monographs.
