| Without much fanfare, it did not take long for students, faculty, and staff to discover the relocation of the Video and Media Collection from behind the Multimedia Services Desk to the center of Langsam Library’s 4th floor. In open shelving just north of the Info Commons Desk, library users may leisurely browse the collection, select any three items to borrow, and enjoy an evening of entertainment and/or enlightenment, all without a rental fee. The videos and media can be borrowed for up to seven days with no renewals. The approximately 6,500 titles in the Video and Media Collection cover a wide range of topics and genres, and include a variety of popular favorites such as Titanic, Star Wars, and Jurrasic Park, to Hitchcock classics such as North by Northwest, The Birds, and The Man Who Knew Too Much. Browsers of the collection will find movies that entertain (The Adventures of Indiana Jones) and movies that educate (Eyes on the Prize). Videos can also be searched by title in the Library Catalog. Browse the Video and Media Collection and enjoy a good film tonight. |
