German Baptist Church Records (Deutsche Baptisten-Kirche), 1610 Walnut Street, Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati.
Representing the history of the first German Baptist church in Cincinnati, these German and English language materials include membership directories and the minutes of church meetings for what is now a dispersed congregation. They date from the 19th century to 1980 and represent an important body of material for studying everyday German-American life.

Over the course of many years, paper historian and essayist Dorothy Field traveled througout Asia exploring the close relationship between the making of paper and books and the cultures of which they were an integral part. Her journeys were part of the principle of the "edge effect" where more life is found in the coming together of two ecosystems rather than in the center of either one. In such countries as Japan, China, Korea, Nepal, and Laos, Field explored the purpose of books and paper in everyday life.
