The History of University Libraries by Don Heinrich Tolzmann, traces the origins of what we now call University Libraries. The book spans the growth and development of the libraries from the Gilded Age of the late 19th century into the kaleidoscopic Information Age of the 21st. University Libraries Annual Report for 2004-2005 focuses on the past year during which notable accomplishments included the acquisition of the 3,000,000th volume, valuable historic collections, and electronic resources that enhance learning and research.
