Since the Proudly Cincinnati campaign was launched in 2005, an ever-increasing number of alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, community residents, foundations, and corporations have contributed to help UC reach the $928 million mark as of July 10, 2012. Reaching the campaign goal of $1 billion by the end of the 2012-13 academic year will make UC one of only 25 public institutions to achieve this level of fundraising success. Under the umbrella of Proudly Cincinnati, the Libraries initiated their own aggressive fundraising campaign. Our campaign seeks financial support from donors to help provide intellectually stimulating learning environments and access to outstanding research and information resources that students and faculty need to excel in their academic and research pursuits. Library donors share our vision that a successful academic library in the 21st century is a combination of many essentials:
Answer: YOU! There's no limit to what our students and faculty can accomplish when we provide them with the resources needed to unlock their true potential. Please consider joining Cathy and more than 1,500 donors to the UC Libraries since the Proudly Cincinnati campaign began by making your gift using the postage-paid donation envelope in this issue of Source or online at www.uc.edu/give. To talk with someone about your specific library interests or a planned gift, please contact Margaret W. Wolf at (513) 556-0055 or peggy.wolf@uc.edu.

The 2012 UC Faculty and Staff Campaign achieved record success with more than 50% participation by Libraries' faculty and staff as well as campus-wide University employees. Here's what Cathy Barnes of the UC Business Affairs Office said about the reasons she gives to the Libraries:
