There were articles, books, chapters, edited journals, musical scores, artwork, poetry, works of fiction, CDs, DVDs, photography, and even an iPod app. There were publications that enlighten and inform, some that inspire and motivate, and others that entertain. The publications spanned six languages: English, Spanish, German, Greek, Japanese, and French. At the event, three faculty members discussed their publications as part of the program:
The event also featured remarks by Kristi Nelson, senior vice provost for academic planning, and Victoria A. Montavon, dean and university librarian. Most of the published works from "Authors, Editors, and Composers" were then placed on public display in Langsam Library's fourth and fifth floor lobbies through June 15. "Authors, Editors, and Composers" is organized by the University of Cincinnati Libraries and sponsored by Donors to the Libraries Annual Fund. Contributions from this group assist the Libraries in many ways, including providing support for exhibits that draw attention to library collections.
