The database provides full-text access to global information on women. Journals, newsletters, and research reports from non-profit groups, government and international agencies are easily accessed through CWI. Information on women in over 190 countries is compiled in a single collection bringing together such disciplines as sociology, psychology, health, education, business administration and political science.

The Family & Society Studies Worldwide Database (FSSWD) includes the discontinued Inventory of Marriage and Family (produced by the National Council on Family Relations), the Australian Family & Society Abstracts, the National Clearinghouse on Family Violence, Health Canada and the U.S. Military Family Resource Center Documents Database. FSSWD includes nearly 600,000 records representing professional journals, books, popular literature, conference papers, internet documents, government reports, videos, pamphlets and even unpublished material such as poster sessions and statistical documents. Subjects covered include: families and family therapy, marriage, gender roles, aging, divorce, minorities and demography. Records may be directly exported into ProCite, EndNote or Reference Manager. Many of the records are linked to full text.

LGBT Life (formerly GLBT Life) is an index to the world's literature regarding gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues. This database contains indexing and abstracts for more than 120 LGBT-specific core periodicals and over 230 LGBT-specific core books and reference works. The product also contains data mined from over 40 priority periodicals and over 1,700 select titles, as well as full text for 50 of the most important and historically significant LGBT journals, magazines and regional newspapers, and dozens of full text monographs. The database includes comprehensive indexing and abstract coverage as well as a specialized LGBT Thesaurus containing over 6,300 terms.

Abstracts articles selected from over 500 journals on topics covering education, family, work, community, medicine, health, social policy, psychology, culture, media, literary criticism, and historical studies.   Also abstracts a few books.

 

Women Studies Abstracts 1972-1983 (Reference Z7962.W65)

Covers a wide range of subject matter including education, sexuality, family, society, religion, sports, art, theater, language, and history.   Also includes a non-annotated listing of media and book reviews, biography, and criticism. Available online from 1984 to the present in Women's Resources International .

 

Women's Studies on Disc 1989-

Provides selective indexing of scholarly and popular periodicals in mostly United States publications.   Women's Studies on Disc is mounted on the Reference Stand Alone Computers .
