Founded in 1897 as a New York Yiddish-language daily newspaper. In 1990 the Forward became a weekly English-language paper. Known for its crusading journalism, the Forward is considered American Jewry’s leading newspaper of record.
“Haaretz is an independent daily newspaper with a broadly liberal outlook both on domestic issues and on international affairs. It has a journalistic staff of some 330 reporters, writers and editors. The paper is perhaps best known for its Op-ed page, where its senior columnists - among them some of Israel's leading commentators and analysts - reflect on current events.” The English-language online edition is published in Israel in association with the International Herald Tribune.
Published since 1932, The Jerusalem Post is Israel’s leading English-language newspaper “Written for the English speaking population as well as international diplomats, Israeli professionals, the UN and tourists.”
Jewish Action: Magazine of the Orthodox Union

Established in 1902, the Jewish Advocate covers local (Boston), regional (New England), and worldwide news items of particular Jewish interest.
The Jewish Exponent has been published weekly in Philadelphia since 1887.

Women in Judaism

The Dinur Center for Research in Jewish History http://jewishhistory.huji.ac.il/links/Journals.htm has an extensive listing of journals relating to Jewish history on their web site, with links provided for titles that are available online. A number of these journals are online through Project Muse http://muse.jhu.edu/journals/ , a database to which the library subscribes and which may be accessed from the Article Resources section of the library’s home page.
The Langsam Library maintains a subscription to the current issues of The American Israelite. Published in Cincinnati, The American Israelite was founded in 1874 and is the oldest English-language Jewish weekly in the United States.
