Journals In Education

Off campus? Do this FIRST:

•     Select "Off Campus Access", located under "QuickLINK" on the far left, from the www.libraries.uc.edu page
•     Select "Login to Proxy Server Here"
•     Enter your UC ID number and last name
•     Select "Go"
You are now back at the UC Libraries homepage, and are recognized as an authorized user, meaning that a colon and a four digit number (example:xxxx ) is at the end of the address.
 
5 Steps to Finding Journals   -
 

Use the first four steps to find "specific" journal titles or use step #5 to build a current list of U.C. held journals in your subject area.   

 

#1 Finding full-text (electronic) journals

Select   [Full Text Journals] (http://www.libraries.uc.edu/research/articles/text/index.html) to search or browse for full-text.

              

#2 Finding paper copy and seletced full-text journal (not represented in #1)

 

If you did not find your journal in Step #1, select [UCLID] to conduct a journal title search.

       

#3 Finding journals in local libraries

 

If you did not find your journal in Steps 1 & 2, select one of the following links to see if a local library owns your journal or move to Step #4 to use the   interlibrary loan service:

#4 Inter-Library Loan (ILL)

 

If you did not find your journal in Steps 1-3, request a copy of an article through the Inter-Library Loan service .    

 

#5 Build Your Own List of Journals in Education or Subset of Education

•  To build a list of full-text (electronic) journals, select [Full Text Journals]   and perform a "Loose words search" for your topic area, e.g. education, urban education or educational leadership

 

•  To build a list of paper and selected full-text (electronic) journals, select [ UCLID ] and perform either a "title," "keyword" or "subject" search for your topic area, e.g. education, urban education or educational leadership.   Then click on the black arrow, in the box next to the field just entered, and limit by "Periodicals/Serials".
