This index covers contemporary artists and events, concentrating on all aspects of art, design, and photography. Indexes articles from approximately 330 serials plus Festschriften (anthologies of articles dedicated to or honoring an individual, for example on a birthday), dissertations, exhibition catalogs, gallery publications, and artists' books. Includes abstracts and has good coverage of European artists and obscure artists. From 1969-1988, it covered art created since 1800, while in 1989, it became more narrowly focused on art since 1900 and dropped architecture.

late antiquity to the present, the Bibliography of the History of
Art indexes and abstracts art-related books, conference proceedings

of Art file is updated quarterly and covers 1973 to the present, with
more than 469,000 records.

Colour Index International
This index provides technical information on color products and manufacturers. It is highly technical, but does provide information on textile manufacturers and suppliers, as well as information on dyes and pigments.

Design Abstracts Retrospective
Design Abstracts Retrospective (DAR), the retrospective of Design and Applied Arts Index, provides broad, international coverage on a wide range of subjects in the fields of design. This database includes a particular emphasis on European publications. In addition, access to Design ProFILES™ (DP) is included in the subscription; this is the largest collection of profiles of designers and design organizations of its kind. DAR provides coverage of more than 100 design and design-related journals most of which have ceased publication, but which are distinctly important to the development of design concepts in the early 20th century.

citations that PsycINFO has created in electronic form. Although the
references themselves are all written in English, the covered literature
includes material published in over 45 countries and written in 30
languages
ProQuest dissertations & theses (PQDT)
This database is the world's most comprehensive collection of dissertations and theses from around the world, spanning from 1861 to the present day and offering full text for most of the dissertations added since 1997.
ProQuest Dissertations & Theses (UC Electronic)
Access to over 8,000 University of Cincinnati electronic dissertations and theses mainly from 1955 to the present. To acquire the dissertations electronically, users request the full text from UMI (ProQuest) and are sent a link and a password to access the dissertation.
Dissertations from 1997 forward are available in the OhioLINK ETD (Electronic Theses and Dissertations Center.
RefWorks
With RefWorks users can create their own personal database by importing references from online databases. They can use these references in writing their papers and automatically format the paper and the bibliography in seconds. As a web-based product, RefWorks is available to users across various platforms including Windows, Mac, Unix, etc. UC users can set up their free individual accounts.
