Another source for accessing geographic and historic maps is provided through the Facts On File online database, Curriculum Resource Center.

To access the Curriculum Resource Center:

1. Go to the University Libraries homepage – http://www.libraries.uc.edu

2. Select “Library Catalog”

3. Click on “Title” and type: Curriculum Resource Center

4. Click on Curriculum Resource Center

5. Click on Connect to Facts on File Curriculum Resource Center (online)

6. Next click on “Curriculum Resource Center” for access to grades 6-12 maps and then click on “Geographical Maps” or “Historical Maps”;

...or click on “Curriculum Resource: Junior Edition” for access to grades K – 5 maps and click on “Maps & Flags.” You can choose to have the maps with data or only an outline version.

The maps can be printed out and copied for students to fill in as a handout. Color transparencies can be made from these as well.

Maps can also be found by performing a Keyword search in UCLID and limit to the “Curriculum Resources Center.” Type the geographic area for which you need a map plus the words “and map.” Eg., Japan and map

Maps in the CRC are intershelved along with posters and charts by call number in the large flat files.
