TEXTBOOKS IN THE LIBRARY

In General, The Library does not buy textbooks. However there are some exceptions:

Professors may request that a copy of a textbook be placed on Library Reserves. For such reserve items, you can check under the professor's name or the course number.

A few textbooks are bought because they are exceptional or due to the lack of scholarly works in that area of research. Also, some textbooks are donated to the library. For these, check the Library Catalog

BORROWING A COPY FROM ANOTHER OHIO LIBRARY

You may also request a copy of a textbook from another Ohio library through OhioLink . If you find such a copy, use the "Request this Item" button to borrow a copy.

BUYING E-TEXTBOOKS

If you decide to buy an e-textbook, You may want to explore:

Ohio Textbook Portal

Where you can buy access to an electronic textbook at approximately 50% savings of the print copy.  This is the result of a state effort to make textbooks affordable to students.

UC BookStores e-books

Bookstores offer options for buying e-textbooks from various providers.
