DESCRIPTION OF THE LIBRARY
The Internet Business and Economics Library provides access to one of the top business research collections in the U.S. Incuded in this scollection are: 4,800 full-text online business and economic journals, 205 online business and economics databases and over 116,000 business & economics electronic books (Can be searched in SUMMON)
The Physical Book Collection
The physical book collection is comprised of approx. 110,000 volumes shelved mainly on the 5th floor East of the Langsam Library. Government publication materials are shelved on the 4th Floor East. The physical business and economics reference collection is located on the fourth floor.
The Periodical Collection
The serial and periodical collection houses and provides access to over 4,800 business and economic titles. Current issues of periodicals are shelved on the 4th floor north of Langsam. Bound periodicals are inter-filed with the book collection using the Library of Congress Classification. Access to full-text articles are available on many of our databases made available to faculty and students. (How do I find business and economic periodicals).
Databases/Indexes
To access web databases you need to login through UC provided internet access, otherwise you will not be recognized as a UC student or Faculty. (Show me a list of databases/indexes).
Services and Help Doing Research
Many services are offered through Langsam. Information and Reference Services will advise you on how to conduct your research. You may go to the information desk for basic reference help or schedule an appointment with the business librarian for specialized help. Reserve materials used in conjunction with course work are housed and serviced through the Circulation Department. Interlibrary Loans Department will borrow books and provide copies of articles not available through the library system.
