Copy & Print FAQ
Since periodicals, newspapers, and microforms typically do not circulate, articles can be printed or photocopied using equipment in each library. Photocopies can be made using cash or Bearcat Campus Card. To print from an electronic resource, a Bearcat Campus Card (Student ID) is required. Library staff are available to assist with using equipment.
Bearcat Cards:
Your University ID card is your Bearcat Card. There are Bearcat Vend Machines at various locations on campus, one is located in Langsam Library near the main Circulation Desk. You can purchase a guest user Bearcat Card for $1.00 at these Vend Machines.
Photocopiers:
Photocopiers require cash or a Bearcat card (Student ID). The number of photocopiers accepting cash are limited in supply, and accept only smaller bills. Photocopies are .10 per copy when paying with cash; or .08 with a Bearcat card.
Microform Reader / Printers:
Each library has a microform reader / printer for making printouts from microfiche and microfilm. Staff are available to assist with the collection and equipment.
Printing from Full Text Online:
Printing from online resources requires a Bearcat card. Many library resources are available online, such as article databases and electronic books found in research resources on the library web site. There are PCs in each library attached to a networked printer. Printouts cost .07 per black and white copy. Students receive an allotment of free printouts for each academic quarter.
