Off Campus Access

UC VPN Information:

New: On August 11, 2014, the SSL VPN will be modified to so that the Junos Pulse client is presented for download.  Junos Pulse will become the default SSL VPN client for new SSL VPN users.  If you already have the “Network Connect” client installed you will still be able to connect using the “Network Connect” client.

  • If you are a UC faculty, staff, or currently enrolled student, Secure Access VPN is recommended when accessing UC resources from off campus.
  • The first time you use VPN you will log into the website using your Central Login Service credentials. Once logged in, there will be a “Client Application Sessions” section with Junos Pulse listed. To the right of that there will be a start button. Click “Start” to initiate the client download and installation.
  • If the auto install does not work, follow the manual install instructions.
  • The next time you want to access UC resources, start the SSL VPN client from your computer and then launch your browser and begin your research.

For Mobile Devices

  • Download the APP  "Junos Pulse"
  • Set the url as: sslvpn.uc.edu
  • Connect and enter your username and password
  • click on safari and go to the library webpage.
