My professor said our textbook is on reserve. Where do I find it?
- Please ask at the Circulation Desk for reserve materials.
Does the library have all of the textbooks?
- Unfortunately, the library does not have the budget to purchase the text for each course offered at the college. We only place material on library reserve when requested by the instructor. Please ask at the Circulation Desk to see if the material you need is on reserve. If not, you may wish to ask the instructor if he/she will do this.
Where can I make copies? Is there a color copier on campus?
- The library has two photocopiers available for your use. The charge is 10¢ per page. If you use your Bearcat Campus Card (your UC ID), the cost is 8¢ per page. You can deposit money on your campus card at any UC Bookstore, or online using a debit/credit card at http://www.uc.edu/ bearcatcard/ .
- There is not a color copier on the RWC campus at this time.
Can I type my paper in the library computer lab?
- Yes. The library computers are equipped with MS Office 2007; however, software support for these applications in available in the computer concourse across the hall from the Library.
Can I use this CD-ROM in the library?
- If the CD-ROM can be run directly from the CD itself, you may be able to use it in the library computer lab. Some CDs require auxiliary programs that are not available on the library computers.
- Software cannot be installed on lab computers.
Is there a place I can watch a video/DVD or listen to a CD/audiocassette?
- Yes, we have several VCR/DVD stations equipped with headphones. Up to six people may simultaneously view a video at each station. We have two CD/audiocassette players as well, where an individual can listen with headphones.
Can I plug in my laptop to use in the library? Is there wireless access in the library?
- You are welcome to use any available power outlets throughout the library for your laptop. The Library is also a wireless hotspot. For instructions on how to connect to the network, please go to http://wireless.rwc.uc.edu.
Does the library have a fax I can use?
- There is not a fax machine available for student use on campus.
Does the Library have Wireless access?
- Yes. The RWC Library is a hotspot for wireless access. Once connected to the wireless network users will be able to access the full range of Library resources.
- The wireless network provides network access for wireless devices in specific areas on the RWC campus (see the diagrams posted at http://wireless.rwc.uc.edu/maps.html).
- Wireless printing is NOT available in the Library. Please be prepared to save and print materials from a public Library terminal using CDs, flash/thumb/jump drives or memory sticks.
