Library Liaison Program
Purpose:
Establish regular communication between library staff and the faculty, staff and students concerning services and collections.
Library Faculty Responsibilities:
- The four library faculty will be responsible for specific departments.
- Responsibilities to departments include: collections (purchase recommendations, collection analysis), library consultation with faculty on resources (e.g. demonstrations or training on subject specific resources), advice & feedback on library services or information resource related issues.
Academic Department Responsibilities:
- Designate one faculty member (or more depending upon needs/interests) to communicate with librarian.
- Up to each department to determine how it wants to work with designated librarian on collections and consultation.
Other Issues:
For issues or situations that are not specific to a department or to students, such as library facilities or computers, the Library Director will contact the appropriate College Committee. For major issues not covered by a College Committee, Library Director will contact the Faculty Executive Committee and, as appropriate Student Government.

- Regular communication established with all departments and with Student Government
- Will provide faculty and students more opportunities to share ideas, express concerns.
- Will improve RWC Library’s abilities to provide services and collections that meet the needs of the College and to seek advice and feedback from the College as a whole.

Library Instruction
Instruction sessions are offered in a variety of formats and can be customized to meet the unique needs of your classes, curriculum, or assignments. Some of our more popular instruction formats are: Classroom Demos, Hands-On Instruction, Team Teaching or any combination of the three.

Course Reserves
Traditional
Faculty may request course materials to be placed on Reserve in the library for their class(es). Loan periods for Reserve materials are generally at the discretion of the faculty member and range from Two Hour/Library Use Only or Overnight, and Three Day loans. Students are required to have a valid photo I.D. to check-out Reserve materials (UC I.D. or driver’s license).
New Material Requests
Please submit new material requests to your Library Liaison or a library staff member. Some new materials can take up to four weeks to receive.Electronic Reserves
Electronic Reserves (a.k.a. e-reserves or E-Res) allows faculty to make course-related material available to their students online 24/7.

Please visit our Reserves search page to start your search. If you can't find what you're looking for, please contact us at 745-5710.
Interlibrary Loan
Although the library provides access and ordering capabilities to a vast number of resources electronically, not every item will be available through our collections.
Our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service enables you to request items not available through the UC Libraries or OhioLINK. Simply complete an ILL form at the our Circulation Desk or contact a Librarian who can facilitate this process for you.
Please Note: Materials ordered through ILL may take up to two weeks to arrive.
