SciFinder Scholar is the online version of Chemical Abstracts. SciFinder Scholar is the premier abstracting service for the field of chemistry and related areas. It covers around 8,000 journals from more than 150 countries with coverage back to 1907. It indexes journal articles, book chapters, patents, conference proceedings, technical reports, substance database and dissertations covered in Chemical Abstracts. SciFinder Scholar also includes the MEDLINE database. There were more than 30,000,000 records in the database as of June 2008. Because of licensing agreements, SciFinder Scholar may only be used by current University of Cincinnati students, faculty, and staff for academic purposes only. SciFinder Scholar may not be used for commercial purposes.

Personal Registration & Login Required: Each user will need to register and create a user name and password for login.

Terms and Conditions of Use:

• I will not share my username and password with any other person.
• I will search only for myself and not for others or other organizations.
• I will not use any automated program or script for extracting or downloading CAS data, or any other systematic retrieval of data.
• I may retain a maximum of 5,000 Records at any given time for personal use or to share within a Project team for the duration of the Project.
• My organization’s SciFinder License and the CAS Information Use Policies apply to my use of SciFinder.
