American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) papers

Indexed in AIAA Electronic Library, Aerospace & High Technology Database and The Finding Guide to AIAA Publications (Ref Z5063.A2F5).

American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) papers

Some papers are published as part of the society journals. This is noted when the papers are referenced in COMPENDEX.
Check COMPENDEX for name of conference then the UC Library or OHIOLINK catalogs to determine if the conference can be obtained.
Others must be ordered through the Document Request Service (ILLIAD).

Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) papers

Indexed in SAE Publications and Standards Database located on Engineering CD-ROM station # 1.
Some papers are published as part of the SAE Transactions (TL1.S6).
The Engineering Library has the papers from 1987 through 1995 on in microfiche.
Some papers are contained in the SAE Special Publications (catalogued in the UC Library or OhioLINK catalogs).
Other papers must be ordered through the Engineering Document Request Service.

Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) papers

Check the SME Technical Digest, SME Database, or COMPENDEX to obtain the paper number
The Engineering Library has from 1979 on in microfiche (microfiche collection #65). The microfiche are filed by section and then by paper number. A title search in the UC Library Catalog, under "SME Technical Paper", will retrieve a listing of the individual SME papers held by the Engineering Library.
