Dorothy has been at UC since 1975. During that time she has built collections, staff, and space in response to demands from the active engineering faculty and students. Her present challenge is to operate both libraries with limited resources in the face of budget cuts by taking advantage of electronic services and supplying information on demand.
Dorothy has a BA in Music from Wellesley College, an MAT in German and Education from the University of Wisconsin, and an MS and PhD in Information Studies from Syracuse University. She pursues her interest in music as a violinist, enjoys running and racquetball to keep fit, and commutes by bike when possible.
