Reference services
Reference help is readily available from DAAP Library staff. Students and faculty may also make appointments with a member of the DAAP Library staff if in-depth reference assistance is required. We encourage you to also consult the UC Libraries Campus Guides web pages for in-depth, subject-specific research guides!

Circulation services
The DAAP Library offers a wide selection of materials including books, videos, and other items available for circulation. For information on University Libraries circulation policies, please click here.

Obtaining materials not available at UC - OhioLINK
To acquire materials not available through UC Libraries, search and request items through OhioLINK , a state-funded consortium of Ohio university and college libraries and the State Library of Ohio . If needed materials are not available from OhioLINK, another option is to order materials through Interlibrary Loan.  

Inter-Library Loan
Use Interlibrary loan for items that the libraries at the University of Cincinnati do not own and are unavailable through OhioLINK.  University Libraries uses the ILLiad system.   One can order both articles and books using ILLiad. Getting an ILLiad account is free, and it takes just a few minutes to register.

Reserves
The DAAP Library contains numerous traditional Reserves which can be searched either by course name or instructor .   For more information, or to obtain reserve materials, please inquire at the circulation desk.

E-Reserves
Electronic reserves are available to students on a 24/7 basis.  These reserve readings can be accessed either on campus or remotely.  These are available on Blackboard.

Tracing tables

The Daap Library is equipped with several tracing tables. Please ask staff to show you where they are located.

Mac lab

The Daap Library has a state-of-the-art Mac lab equipped with 14 machines, total. 5 of the Macs are equipped with large-format monitors (27") and top-of-the-line Epson scanners and 1 Mac has a Nikon slide and negative scanner and top-feed docu scan capabilities. All of the machines have the full suite of Office and Adobe software for high-level design work. The lab has a black and white printer accessible via card swipe and are also networked to the Daap CGC for plotter and color printing.

Photocopiers
The DAAP Library has one black and white photocopier and one color copier, both of which accept Bearcat Cards. The black and white copier also accepts coins and dollar bills and the cost for p/copy is .10 cents for standard (8.5 x 11) and legal (8.5 x 14) sized copies, and .20 cents per 11 x 17 (Prices are lower if you use Bearcat Cards: .08 cents for standard and legal and .16 cents for 11 x 17). Color copies cost $1.00 per copy.

Daap Library Classroom
Located on the main level (level-5000), this room is equipped with a sound system, DVD/VHS player, projection, and the ability for you to hook up your mac or pc for presentations, meetings, or film viewing. It is recommended that you reserve this room. You may call the DAAP Library front desk, drop in, or email any member of staff and we'll take care of it.

Group study rooms

There are several group studies that you'll definitely want to check out. These rooms are great for group work of 15 people or less or for a quiet place to study independently. You can reserve a day and time to use these rooms or just take your chances. If you don't sign up to use it and it's not in use...it's yours! The Eames Room is the group study on the main level (level-5000). This room is equipped with a DVD/VHS player, projection, and the ability for you to hook up your mac or pc for presentations, meetings, or film viewing.
