Reference services
Reference help is readily available from DAAP Library staff. Students
and faculty may also make appointments with a member of the DAAP
Library staff if in-depth reference assistance is required. Research
and Class Guides are available online for assistance. In addition, you
may wish to consult the University Libraries Subject
Resources web pages.
Instruction
The staff of the DAAP Library offer library instruction classes throughout
the year. For more information concerning the DAAP Library Instruction
program, contact Elizabeth Meyer . General library workshops are also available at several times

and classes offered.
Circulation services
The DAAP Library offers a wide selection of materials including books,
videos, and other items available for circulation. Consult the DAAP Library

Obtaining materials not available at UC - OhioLINK
To acquire materials not available through UC Libraries, search and request items through OhioLINK , a state-funded consortium of Ohio university and college libraries and the State Library of Ohio . If needed materials are not available from OhioLINK, another option is to order materials through Interlibrary Loan.Inter-Library Loan
Use Interlibrary loan for items that the libraries at the University of Cincinnati do not own and are unavailable through OhioLINK. University Libraries uses the ILLiad system. One can order both articles and books using ILLiad. Getting an ILLiad account is free, and it takes just a few minutes to register.Reserves
The DAAP Library contains numerous traditional UCLID Reserves which can be searched either by course name or instructor . For more information, or to obtain reserve materials, please inquire at the circulation desk.E-Reserves
Electronic reserves are available to students on a 24/7 basis. These reserve readings can be accessed either on campus or remotely. A password given by the instructor is required to view the materials on reserve for a class. To search for E-reserves for a class, click here.
Photocopying
The DAAP Library has two black and white photocopiers and one color
copier. All copiers accept Bearcat Campus Cards. More information about
purchasing a Bearcat Campus Card or depositing funds on these cards can be
found at the University's Bearcat Campus Card web
page . The black and white copiers also accept coins and dollar
bills. Cost for copies is 10 cents for standard (8.5 x 11) and legal (8.5
x 14) sized copies, and 20 cents for 11 x 17. (Prices are 8 cents for standard
and legal and 16 cents for 11 x 17 with Bearcat Card.) The copiers have many
features, and are capable of enlarging and reducing. Color copies
( with Bearcat Campus Cards only ) cost $1.00 per
copy.
Scanning
The DAAP Library is equipped with three flat-bed scanners, one of which
is large format. Both flatbed scanners have Adobe Photoshop software, and
are connected to the DAAP Student Space

Copystand
A Bogen TC-1 copystand is located in a room adjacent to the photocopiers
on the lower level. The copystand can be booked in advance, and may
be used for up to two hours. For more information, please inquire at
the circulation desk.
Media Services
VHS players are located in three areas of the library: the Group
Study Room on the upper level, the alcove next to the elevator on the upper
level, and the Seminar Room which has a large screen especially suitable for
groups up to 20. The library also has a DVD player, a slide projector.
Seminar Room
This room, located on the lower level of the library, is available
to classes, groups, or individuals for viewing videos, DVDs or slides on a
large screen. To reserve this room, please inquire at the front desk.
Group Study Room
This room, located on the upper level of the library next to the
stairs, can be used any time it is unoccupied. It accommodates groups
up to 8.
Recent Acquisitions
New books which have just arrived at the library are displayed in
various locations on the lower level of the library. Check these
displays to see the latest arrivals! An online listing of recent acquisitions
is available. Suggestions for library purchases can be directed
to Elizabeth Meyer . Recommendations
can also be made in person at the DAAP Library by filling out a suggestion
form available at the front desk.
