Slide Scanning Instructions
Place slide in slot sideways with label facing away
Click on Start
Enter University ID Number
Click Programs > Photoshop CS
In Photoshop click on File and then Import, choose Nikon Scan 4.0
Two windows will appear as follows:
On the "control window" (it says "Nikon Super Coolscan 5000" at the top) select the Settings button then select Slide Presentations
Click Scan
Close Nikon Control Window
Save file, use JPEG as format
Save in Daap Student Space, Web version personal space (up to 40MB), USB or Burn to CD
Place slide in slot sideways with label facing away
Click on Start
Enter University ID Number
Click Programs > Photoshop CS
In Photoshop click on File and then Import, choose Nikon Scan 4.0
Two windows will appear as follows:
On the "control window" (it says "Nikon Super Coolscan 5000" at the top) select the Settings button then select Slide Print Quality
Click Scan
Close Nikon Control Window
Save file, use TIFF as format
Save in Daap Student Space, Web version personal space (up to 40MB), USB or Burn to CD
