Biology Collection Description
The biology portion of the Chemistry-Biology Library is a research-level collection containing materials on most aspects of the biological sciences. Strengths reflect faculty interests: cell molecular biology, botany, mammology, ichthyology, and orinthology.
History
The Biological Sciences Collection originally consisted of two collections: Zoology and Botany; which were joined with the Pharmacy collection to form the Biology-Pharmacy Library. The Biological Sciences portion was separated from this collection in 1970 and integrated with the Chemistry collection when both were moved to their present location. Pharmacy materials are now located at the Health Sciences Library.
