    Contains information on organic substances. Types of information includes structures, data on chemical and physical properties such as melting point, boiling point and spectral identification, and over 5 million reactions, as well as references to the chemical literature published from 1771. The print Beilstein is housed in the Southwest Regional Depository.  Electronic access is available in the Chemistry-Biology Library Information Commons.  The electronic version is called MDL CrossFire.

    Gmelin
    CHEMBIOL Reference QD 151
    8th edition began print in 1922. U.C.'s subscription was canceled in the early 90s. Organized by chemical compound. Gmelin is the authoritative work of reference in the fields of inorganic chemistry and compounds, including organometallic compounds, and physical chemistry. Also included are the areas of physics, metallurgy, geochemistry, mineralogy, and crystallography. All Gmelin volumes published since 1980 are exclusively in English, while earlier volumes are usually in German.

    Handbook of Data on Organic Compounds

    7 volumes. Substance information, property information, element terms, physical and spectral data, and CAS Registry Numbers are all searchable. Covers the most frequently used physical and chemical data of organic compounds and is an extensive source of spectral data. Physical data in this file include boiling point, melting point, density, refractive index, optical rotary power, solubility, crystal property, color,specific gravity, and molecular weight calculated according to the International Atomic Weight values. Spectral data are infrared spectra, Raman spectra, ultraviolet spectra, NMR spectra, and mass spectra.

Includes graphs for liquids and gases.

    Landolt-Bornstein
    CHEMBIOL Reference QC61.L32
    A systematic and comprehensive collection of critically assessed data from all fields of physics, physical chemistry, biophysics, geophysics, astronomy, materials science, and technology. The volumes consists of a series of tables for physical properties extracted from technical literature and arranged by topic. The sixth edition was published from 1950 to 1980 and is now out-of-print. The volumes are almost entirely in German.
