Description of CECH Library Collections
This collection covers the theoretical academic books in the various curriculum and instruction areas of teacher education, early childhood education, literacy/language arts education, mathematics education, science education, social studies education, educational media and technology, etc. Many professional education books such as educational foundations, educational administration, special education, counseling and school psychology are located in Langsam Library. This section also includes professional education items in different media formats.

This collection consists of easy reading/picture books, juvenile fiction, and fiction for ages 14 through adult, graphic novels, biographies, story collections and children's nonfiction. Big books are also available for shared reading experiences. The list below also includes literature-based audiobooks, and kits (books on audiocassette/audio CD).

Newly published books by such publishers as Simon and Schuster, Henry Holt and Company, Little Brown and Company and Farrar Straus Giroux. Shelved in a special "Preview" area on the third floor so that teachers and librarians may review them.
