WorldCat is the world's largest bibliographic database. The database contains bibliographic records of many types of materials (e.g., books, serials, visual materials, maps, sound recordings, scores, computer files) cataloged by OCLC's 72,000 member libraries in 170 countries. As of 2013, there were over 295 million records in the Worldcat database. Worldcat records include materials written as early as 2150 B.C. and indicates to users which libraries hold these titles.
