TITLE: ProQuest Dissertations and Theses (formerly Dissertation Abstracts)

 

Proquest Dissertations and Theses provides citations to more than 2 million doctoral dissertations and 45,000 masters theses from 550 U.S. and foreign institutions. The database includes citations for materials ranging from the first U.S. dissertation, accepted in 1861, to those accepted as recently as las semester. Dissertations published from 1980 forward include a 350 word abstract written by the author. Citations for master's theses from 1988 forward include 150 word abstracts. Proquest Dissertations and Theses includes full-text to over 800,000 dissertations from 1997 forward. The database includes also full-text to all UC dissertations published in electronic format. The database represents the work of authors from over 1,000 North American graduate schools and European universities.

For UC dissertations from 1997 forward, digitized versions are available at the OhioLINK ETD Web site (www.ohiolink.edu/etd/). Dissertations may also be accessed through the UC Library Catalog (UCLID).
