How to Find Periodicals in UCLID

1. The online catalog to the collection (UCLID) will tell you whether or not the Library owns or subscribes to a periodical. It will not, however, provide an index to individual articles in periodicals. For information on finding individuals articles in periodicals and other print resources, see our user guide Finding Articles in Periodicals.

2. To determine whether or not the Library owns, or subscribes to a periodical, do a TITLE search in UCLID. The resulting display for a search on the title Journal of musicology will look like this:

In print, the library owns volume 1(1982) of this title and the latest issue received is volume 20 no. 3 (Summer, 2003). 3. Current issues of periodicals are shelved opposite the circulation desk in the Current Periodicals section. They are shelved alphabetically by title.

4. Bound volumes of periodicals are shelved on the mezzanine level of the stacks (Level 3). Here, they are shelved in call number order.
