NCAA Denies Ben Mauk's Final Appeal - WCPO.com, Aug 8, 2008

Ben Mauk Sues NCAA On Eligibility - WCPO.com, Aug 14, 2008

What does Ben Mauk's case have to do with Records Management you might ask. Note that in both of these stories a key to the NCAA denial is the fact that medical documenation was not sufficient. To quote from the Aug 14 story, " Mauk then went to the NCAA's reinstatement committee, which ruled last week there wasn't enough medical documentation to support his claim that he missed his freshman year because of injury. His lawsuit says it's not his fault that files weren't maintained."
