Sigma Chi

Sigma Chi lived at 140 West University Avenue (shown top in 1923) from around 1916 to 1931. In 1931 Sigma Chi built a new tudor-style house on the corner of Woodside and University, near the first. (shown middle in 1931) Both houses have since been razed and the site of these former houses is now the lawn in front of the old Faculty Club. In the late 1960s, UC began buying up the land in that area. Sigma Chi moved to 2617 University Court in 1970. (Shown bottom in 2011)

Sigma Alpha Epsilon

SAE lived at at 2210 Ohio Avenue (shown top in 1923) from 1910-1925. Built in 1865, the house is still standing and is used as apartments. The fraternity built the current house at 2707 Clifton Avenue (shown middle in 1931 and bottom in 2011) with a memorial bequest from Alfred and Maud Nippert to honor their son Jimmy Nippert, a Sigma Alpha Epsilon member and also the namesake of Nippert stadium.

Beta Theta Pi

Beta Theta Pi moved in to 2620 University Court (shown top in 1923) around 1912 and remain in the same location to this day.

The house was completely remodeled in 1930 (shown middle in 1931 and bottom in 2011) and is unrecognizable as the original structure. (The address changed to 2630 University Court after the remodel in 1930.)

Phi Delta Theta

In 1921 Phi Delta Theta secured housing at 176 W. McMillan, on the corner of McMillan and Clifton Avenues. (shown top in 1923, now the site of Arby's) They moved to 2718 Digby Avenue (shown middle circa 1950s) in 1947 and lived there until 2006. That house is still standing. Currently they live in Stratford Heights at 2657 Clifton Avenue. (shown bottom)

Delta Tau Delta

The fraternity purchased 3330 Jefferson Avenue (shown top in 1923) in 1919 and lived there for 16 years, when a brand new house was built on the site in 1935 (shown middle in 1936). The house was gutted and completely renovated in 1974. In 2002, Delta Tau Delta sold the property and the house has since been razed. Delta Tau Delta currently lives in Stratford Heights and is building a new house at 2634 Clifton Avenue (shown under construction at bottom in March, 2011)

Pi Kappa Alpha

From 1914-1950 Pi Kappa Alpha lived at 2437 Clifton Avenue. (shown top in 1923) That building has since been razed and is now the site of Mac's Pizza Pub parking lot.

In 1950, the Pikes purchased the old Boss Cox house at 3400 Brookline Avenue (shown middle in 1950). The fraternity sold the house in 2007 and it is now owned by the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County with plans to convert it to a branch library. In 2007, the chapter built a new house at 2711 Stratford Avenue (shown bottom in 2011).

Lambda Chi Alpha

Lambda Chi Alpha lived at 3442 Brookline Avenue from 1923 to 1951. (shown top in 1923) The house was newly built when they took up residence in 1923 and is still standing. They lived at 332 Probasco (shown middle circa 1950s) from 1951 to 2005. That house has been razed. They currently live at 2809 Swiss Chalet Court. (This was the Alpha Chi Omega house until 2010.)

Triangle

Triangle's first house was on Auburn Avenue. (shown top in 1923)

They moved to 520 Howell Avenue (shown in 1931) and sold the house in 1973. Built in 1905, the house is still standing. They Moved to 2625 University Court in 1969 and lived there until 2007. That house is now the Alpha Epsilon Pi house.

Alpha Tau Omega

Alpha Tau Omega moved to 266 Senator Place in 1921. (shown top in 1923) The house has since been razed. In 1964 they moved to a newly renovated home at 319 Probasco Street, where they currently reside.

Alpha Epsilon Pi

Alpha Epsilon Pi moved to 2819 Stratford Avenue (shown top in 1965) in 1965. The were at 3035 Clifton Avenue from about 1969-~2003. Built in 1910, the house is still standing and is currently the home of Christian service fraternity Sigma Theta Epsilon. They moved to 2625 University Court (shown in 2011) in 2008. This was formerly the Triangle house.

Sigma Phi Epsilon

Sigma Phi Epsilon secured housing at 321 Joselin Avenue in 1953. The house, built in 1946, is shown top in 1957 and bottom in 2011.

Phi Kappa Tau

Phi Kappa Tau lived at 2645 Clifton Avenue (shown top in 1959) until 1972. In 1972 they purchased 347 Probasco from Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and lived there until 1997. They are currently at 2601 Clifton Avenue, where they moved around 2009. Built in 1922, their current house was the Alpha Gamma Delta house from 62-71 and the Fiji house from 71-2005.

Phi Kappa Theta/Phi Kappa

Phi Kappa lived at 147 West University (shown top in 1931) until sometime in the 1940s when they moved to the house shown in the middle. Shortly after Phi Kappa merged into Phi Kappa Theta in 1959, the fraternity moved to 3322 Jefferson and lived there through the 1990s. They currently live at 316 Joselin Avenue (shown bottom in 2011), which was built in 1926.

Sigma Nu

In 1963 Sigma Nu moved to 3041 Clifton Avenue (shown top in 1970, still standing), where they lived until 1974. They moved to 2815 Clfiton Avenue (which is now 2811 Swiss Chalet, the Delta Chi house) around 1986 and lived there until around 2004. They are currently at 2821 Clifton Avenue (shown bottom, 2011). Built in1923, this was the Sigma Delta Tau sorority house from 1961-2002.

Phi Gamma Delta

Fiji lived at 2601 Clifton (shown top in 1990, the current home of Phi Kappa Tau) from 1971-2005. They are currently at 2647 Clifton Avenue (Stratford Heights)

Tau Kappa Epsilon

In 1967 Tau Kappa Epsilon purchased 2819 Stratford Avenue, where they currently reside. Built in 1925, this was the Alpha Phi Gamma house from 1945-1963.

Zeta Beta Tau

Zeta Beta Tau currently lives at 2616 University Court. The house was built in 1903.

Delta Chi

Delta Chi currently lives at 2811 Swiss Chalet. The house was built in 1923 and was the Delta Zeta sorority house from 1943-1979 and the Sigma Nu house from 1986-2004.

Iota Chi Epsilon

Iota Chi Epsilon first lived at 2315 Ohio Avenue. (built in 1875 and still standing, shown top in 1923) They moved to 251 McGregor Avenue (since razed) and then to 438 Ludlow Avenue (built 1905, shown bottom in 1936) Their last home was at 264 Calhoun Street (which would have been next to the current University YMCA.).

Fellowcraft/Acacia

As Fellowcraft, the fraternity's first house was at 211 Bosley Street (shown top in 1923) The house, built in 1890, is still standing. Upon chartering as Acacia, they moved to 541 Howell Avenue, built in 1901 and still standing. (shown middle in 1931) Their last house was at 2617 University Court (shown bottom circa 1950s) - this house has been razed and stood where the Sigma Chi house is currently.

Sigma Alpha Mu

Sigma Alpha Mu lived at 3216 Burnet Avenue (shown top in 1923) until the early 1930s. The house has been razed and the property is now the site of  Shriners Hospital. Around 1931 they moved to 2840 Stratford Avenue. The structure doesn't seem to be extant any longer and may have been on the site of Alpha Tau Omega parking lot, but the second house shown here may be it. In 1960 they were at 2615 Clifton Avenue (shown bottom) until around 1973. That is now the site of the Hillel Jewish Student Center.

Around 1976 they moved to 351 Probasco and stayed there until 2002.

Delta Sigma Pi

Delta Sigma Pi live at 224 Lyon Street. .(shown in 1932) The house was built in 1910 and is still standing.

Theta Chi

Theta Chi lived at 2723 Clifton Avenue (shown circa 1950s) until 2006. Built in 1923, the house is still standing.

Sigma Tau Phi

Sigma Tau Phi lived at 3538 Beldare Avenue (shown in 1931, since razed)

Pi Lambda Phi

Pi Lambda Phi lived at 106 Hosea Avenue from 1947-1973. Built in 1910, the house is still standing.

Alpha Phi Omega

Alpha Phi Omega lived at 3505 Clifton Avenue. (shown in 1931, since razed)

Alpha Sigma Phi

From 1963 to 1981, Alpha Sigma Phi owned the house at 136 Wentworth. (shown in 1960) Built in 1900, the house belonged to Theta Phi Alpha from 1949-1955 and it is still standing.

Sigma Delta Pi/Beta Kappa

Sigma Delta Pi lived at 54 E. McMillan Street in Mt. Auburn (shown top in 1923, since razed) As Beta Kappa, they moved to 358 Ludlow (shown bottom in 1931, since razed) and then 541 Howell Avenue, the former Acacia house.

American Commons Club

The American Commons Club lived at 3465 Cornell Place (shown top in 1931) until after World War II. Built in 1900, the house is still standing. In the 1940s and 1950s, American Commons Club lived at 151 W. McMillan. This historic home was built in 1898 as a wedding gift for Christian Moerlein's daughter. In 1963 they sold the house to the Lenhardt family, and it is now Lendhardt's Restaurant.
