Programs/Dance Cards Dance programs in the early twentieth century were more than just mementos destined to be stuffed in scrapbooks; they had a very important purpose. Attendees reserved their partners for each dance of the night and wrote the names in the spaces provided in the program or on a dance card, both of which were usually conveniently accompanied by mini pencils. |
