Almanacs were sometimes used as diaries by their owners. Almost every page of this 1912 edition of the Christlicher familien Kalender is scribbled with hand-written notes on weather changes and planting schedules. This page in particular detail the planting of corn in Jasper County from May 27th through the 30th.
