Suzanne Maggard joined the Archives and Rare Books Library in August of 2008. Suzanne is the contact person for both the Urban Studies Collection and the German-Americana Collection. She holds a BA in History from Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Kentucky, a MA in United States History from the University of Cincinnati, and a MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Kentucky. Prior to joining UC, Suzanne worked at The Filson Historical Society in Louisville, Kentucky as a Special Collections Assistant, where she implemented a project to make The Filson’s traditional card catalog and print finding aids available online. Suzanne’s professional interests include the use of technology in archives and twentieth-century American history. She is a member of the Society of American Archivists, the Midwest Archives Conference, and the Kentucky Council on Archives.
