The Urban Archives Center holds material which documents the growth and development of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.

The Chicago History Museum Research Center holds primary sources on Chicago history. The collection focuses on material related to living and working in Chicago metro area, government and politics in the Chicago metro area, and the architecture and culture of Chicago.

La Guardia and Wagner Archives at the City University of New York
The LaGuardia and Wagner Archives holds material documenting the social and political history of New York City including the personal papers and official documents of Mayors Fiorello H. LaGuardia, Robert F. Wagner, Abraham D. Beame and Edward I. Koch. The collection also includes the records of the New York City Housing Authority, and the Council of the City of New York.

The Urban Archive holds material relating to the social, economic, and physical development of Philadelphia. Areas of emphasis include social service organizations, labor, housing development, and community organizations.

Cincinnati History – Museums and Libraries
Cincinnati History Library and Archives
The Cincinnati Historical Society Library holds materials relating to the history of Greater Cincinnati, Ohio, and the Northwest Territory. Collections are divided into three areas: Printed Works (books, pamphlets, periodicals, and maps); Manuscript Collections, and Audiovisual Collections. The full-text of several journals published by the Cincinnati Museum Center, the Cincinnati Historical Society, and the Cincinnati Museum Center are also available through their website.

The museum holds a display of artifacts and models of the city starting in the settlement period.

Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County
The library has an extensive genealogy and local history collection. Materials include information on Rockwood Pottery, material relating to the Cincinnati Reds, 19th Century police reports, and city directories. The main library also has an extensive collection of Cincinnati newspapers on microfilm.

John H. White: Portrait of Black Chicago
An online exhibit on the National Archives and Records Administration website showing images taken by John H. White of Chicago’s African American community. The pictures were taken while White was working for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Documerica project during 1973 and 1974.

Urban Archives Database
A collection of images in the University of Washington Library’s Digital Collections documenting scenes from the streets of Seattle and other city around the world. The database includes images of graffiti, electric signs, and protestors.
The Urban Landscape Digital Image Access Project
The Urban Landscape Digital Image Access Project is a database of 1000 images from the Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library at Duke University that pertain to the theme of “The Urban Landscape.”
