The spring Life of the Mind lecture series will kick off Tuesday, February 5 from 3:30-5pm in the Russell C. Myers Alumni Center. Life of the Mind features interdisciplinary conversations with UC faculty around a one-word theme followed by audience Q&A and a reception with light refreshments. Each quarter, there are two Life of the Mind sessions with three thought provocateurs contributing to each session. The spring Life of the Mind theme is Death. Continue reading
The University of Cincinnati Libraries were awarded a $58,000 Scholarly Communications and Information Technology Program planning grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to define and describe the key skills and competencies required to support a robust digital scholarship program. This is the first Mellon grant ever received by UC Libraries. Happy Holidays from the University of Cincinnati Libraries. We wish all of our students, faculty, and staff a safe and enjoyable break. The Libraries will be closed December 24 & 25 and January 1. The remaining days, we will be on break hours through January 6, which are listed online and at each library location.
Please Note: We will be performing routine maintenance on the library servers Tuesday, December 18 beginning at 5pm. During the upload, the Libraries websites, e-reserves and certain databases will be unavailable for a short time.
During exams, UC students can study in Langsam Library until 2am.
In response to student requests to President Santa Ono and Dean and University Librarian Xuemao Wang for adequate, safe study space on campus for the current exam period, UC Libraries has made arrangements to immediately expand exam hours in Langsam Library beginning today, December 7 and continuing until December 13.

University of Cincinnati Libraries has recently subscribed to Counseling and Therapy in Video. This collection includes
over 700 hours of online media for the study of counseling, social work, psychotherapy, psychology, and psychiatric counseling. Transcripts are displayed and synchronized with the video enhancing the viewing experience. Basic and advanced search capabilities are available as well as the ability to browse by subject, therapy type, theme, and therapist.
