Study Late in Langsam Library

Langsam Library to Offer Extended Exam Hours until 2am.

After the regular Langsam Library hours, library space only will be open for students to study until 2am during exams. To enter the library after the regular closing time, students must do so via the 5^th floor UCit@Langsam card-swipe entrance (a valid UC ID is required).

Please note: no library staff or services requiring staff assistance will be available after the regular closing time (with the exception of UCit@Langsam); however, security will be present thanks to UC’s Public Safety. After 2am, students will be asked to go to UCit@Langsam to remain in the library.

The extended exam hours for Langsam Library are:

Sunday, April 14: Noon-11pm [EXTENDED 11pm-2am STUDY SPACE ONLY, ENTER VIA 5^TH FLOOR]
Monday-Thursday, April 15-18: 7:45am-11pm [EXTENDED 11pm-2am STUDY SPACE ONLY, ENTER VIA 5^TH FLOOR]
Friday, April 19: 7:45am-6pm [EXTENDED 6pm-2am STUDY SPACE ONLY, ENTER VIA 5^TH FLOOR]
Saturday, April 20: 10am-6pm [EXTENDED 6pm-2am STUDY SPACE ONLY, ENTER VIA 5^TH FLOOR]
Sunday, April 21: Noon-11pm [EXTENDED 11pm-2am STUDY SPACE ONLY, ENTER VIA 5^TH FLOOR]
Monday-Wednesday, April 22-24: 7:45am-11pm [EXTENDED 11pm-2am STUDY SPACE ONLY, ENTER VIA 5^TH FLOOR]
Thursday, April 25: 7:45am-7pm
Friday, April 26: 7:45am-6pm

As always, please be safe when leaving the library no matter what the hour. UC offers NightRide to get students home safely:

NightRide will be available Sunday – Wednesday 8pm-12 midnight and Thursday – Saturday 8pm-2am during this extended hour time period. The pickup for students is at the base of the Langsam/ERC steps on Woodside Drive. NightRide can be reached at 556-RIDE or students can speak to the Langsam Security Officer before exiting the building and they will contact NightRide.

Sun, February 17: Noon-11pm [EXTENDED 11pm-2am STUDY SPACE ONLY, ENTER VIA 5^TH FLOOR]

Happy Holidays from the University of Cincinnati Libraries. We wish all of our students, faculty, and staff a safe and enjoyable break. The Libraries will be closed December 24 & 25 and January 1. The remaining days, we will be on break hours through January 6, which are listed online and at each library location.

Need Even More Time to Study in the Library?

During exams, UC students can study in Langsam Library until 2am.

In response to student requests to President Santa Ono and Dean and University Librarian Xuemao Wang for adequate, safe study space on campus for the current exam period, UC Libraries has made arrangements to immediately expand exam hours in Langsam Library beginning today, December 7 and continuing until December 13.

After the posted exam hours listed below, library space only will be open for students to study until 2am every day through December 13. To enter the library after hours, students must do so via the 5^th floor UCit@Langsam card-swipe entrance (a valid UC ID is required).

Please note: no library staff or services requiring staff assistance will be available after the posted exam hours (with the exception of UCit@Langsam); however, security will be present thanks to UC’s Public Safety. After 2am, students will be asked to go to UCit@Langsam to remain in the library.

Woodside Drive/Library Garage has been designated a Safe Zone parking garage, which means that from December 2-14, those who enter the garage between the hours of 9pm to 5:59am can exit for $1.
