				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <a title=\"ABMS Directory\" href="http://www.libraries.uc.edu/liblog/?feed-stats-url=aHR0cDovL2FibXNkaXJlY3RvcnkuY29tL2FibXMvc3RhdGljL2hvbWUuaHRt" target=\"_blank\">ABMS Directory of Board Certified Medical Specialists</a>  has now completed its transition from print to online.  This directory provides access to “professional information about more than 800,000 board certified physicians in 50+ specialties and 100+ subspecialties from the 24 member  boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).&#8221;<span id="more-20897"></span></p>
<p>Search for physicians by name, board certified specialty, city or state, etc. and quickly identify:</p>
<ul>
<li>Whether or not your doctor is board certified, and in what sub-specialty</li>
<li>The board certified physicians in a specific geographic location</li>
<li>Professional information that could be helpful in choosing a specialist in your selected category</li>
</ul>
<p>Select <i>Resources</i> from the toolbar at the top to see information about the medical specialties, state licensing boards, codes and abbreviations, and certification statistics.</p>
<p>Updated quarterly, new physicians and new certifications will be displayed with each update.</p>
