The new UCBA Library Guides & Tutorials web page is now available at http://guides.libraries.uc.edu/guideshome. This web page provides a basic starting point for research on any topic.

UCBA Subject Guides: Use this web page to find guides based on these characteristics:

Special Topics: guides that cover a specific topic or issue
How To Do Research: guides cover a variety of research tips and strategies
Faculty Guides: guides for UCBA faculty members
Tutorials: Online web videos give step-by-step directions on how to use a variety of research tools.

You can also use the search box to search for any UCBA Library guides.

This is the final step in the CampusGuide transition of subject and class guides that began during the 2011-2012 academic year.

2011-2012 UCBA Library Annual Report: Renovations, Happenings and Improved Services

The 2011-2012 UCBA Library Annual Report is now available online.

Take a moment to read about our library renovation; activities and events that we’ve participated in such as the UC Smiles Program and the Arts & Humanities Month Celebration; as well as a few of our new and improved library services which include online tutorials and library led Faculty Development workshops.

You’ll also find useful facts and figures about our library holdings, reference transactions and instruction sessions.

2013 National African American Read-In

UCBA students, staff and faculty are invited to participate in the 24^th annual National African-American Read-In. The goal of the NAARI is to make the celebration of African American literacy a traditional part of Black History Month activities. This year, the National African-American Read-In will be observed at UC Blue Ash College on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 11:00am-1:00pm in the Muntz Hall lobby.

During the event, volunteers read aloud a short passage by an African-American author. Information about the national event, a list of recommended readings, and the volunteer registration form can be found on the National African American Read-In Guide at http://guides.libraries.uc.edu/ucba-naari.

New Academic Search Complete Basics Tutorial Available

A new UCBA Library tutorial for Academic Search Complete Basics is now available. Academic Search Complete is a multidisciplinary research database that covers a wide variety of topics. This tutorial was created primarily for UCBA students as a brief orientation to the Academic Search Complete database.

UPDATE – 1/17/12

OhioLINK List of Databases, E-Journal Finder, and OhioLINK Member Libraries database are all now available. The Electronic Theses and Dissertations Center (ETD) and Contact a Librarian referral service remain unavailable. OhioLINK continues to work to bring those services back online.
