Health Sciences Library Moves to New Location
August 7, 2008 – The health sciences library staff, equipment, and collections began moving into the new Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library located on the E-level of the Medical Sciences Building (MSB). The computer lab moved first followed by the circulation desk on Wednesday, July 30. The complete move will occur in stages over the next month and will not hinder any library services. All current locations will remain open until they move into the new space. The tentative move timeline is as follows:
· Computer lab—July 28
· Circulation desk—July 30
· Current journals and reference collection—Aug. 7
· Nursing collection—Aug. 14
· Book collection—Aug. 18
Located in the heart of the newly renovted MSB and CARE/Crawley Buildings, the Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library serves the research needs of the students, faculty, staff, and other researchers of the College of Medicine, the College of Nursing, the College of Allied Health Sciences, the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, as well as researchers from affiliated institutions, including University Hospital and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. The library is home to the Center for the History of the Health Professions.
