July 1 , 2007 - With intriguing titles such as Here Lies the Librarian, In the Stacks, Bibliophilia, and The Boy Who Was Raised by Librarians, the exhibit “Librarians in the Stacks: Books about Librarians” features books about librarians. The exhibit, on display on Langsam Library’s 4th and 5th floors, can be “checked-out” through August.
Through mysteries, fiction, short stories, and poetry, the books in the exhibit portray librarians as heroes and villains, victims and survivors, and rarely wearing buns in the their hair or sensible shoes.
The books featured in the exhibit can all be found in the collections of University Libraries.
“Librarians in the Stacks: Books about Librarians” was curated by real-life librarian Olga Hart and designed by Christen McClanahan.
